Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The dining scene in Washington Square is as vibrant and eclectic as the rest of the neighborhood, with a variety of multi-cultural eateries and high-end restaurants around every corner. Talula’s Garden is certainly one of the most popular places in town. Their dedication to seasonal and local cuisine has put them on the map, and with exquisite dishes like tuna and watermelon ceviche, fried chicken with maple butter cornbread, and house-made goat cheese ravioli, it’s easy to understand why.

The renowned Bud and Marilyn’s is another local favorite. This famous and beloved restaurant serves some of the best classic comfort food in town with a menu that includes Nashville hot fried chicken, pork belly buns, and short rib stroganoff with house-made egg noodles. The Capital Grille is always one of the busiest places in town, with guests returning time and time again for a taste of their lobster and crab cakes, 22-oz bone-in ribeye, and pan-seared seabass with miso butter.

Double Knot is one of the most inspired and elevated eateries in the area. Their unique double floor concept has set the local culinary world on fire, and foodies from around the city have fallen in love with their Asian style menu that includes dishes such as duck scrapple bao, Japanese fried chicken, broiled seabass with truffled soy, and an array of sushi and sashimi.
